Havoc

a poem
Havoc

a man and a mouse appeared at the door of my House
and I let them both in.
a havoc they made:
the man with my life
the mouse with my wife
and me with my gin.

Dug a hole with a spade.
And just as I climbed in
I offered havoc one wish:
The man wished for Love
and mouse wished for Peace

From the archives, a poem that was written on July 7, 1981.  I do not recall the reason for it’s writing.

Medium: pencil and paper (the fountain pen is modern and thrown into the photo for visual effect and because I like it).
